The day they had waited for all the previous night had come. But, unfortunately, it didn't turn out the way they wanted.
Not at all.
Sarah and her friends entered the school, wearing what they considered to be normal outfits for them. Sarah wore a tight lavender T-shirt with a low neckline (to show off her cleavage), a white pleated miniskirt, and lavender open-toe 4-inch heels. Tiffany wore a pink bare midriff tube top, a short white pleated miniskirt (so short that if she bent over, people would be able to see her panties), and pink open-toe 4-inch heels. Melissa wore a pink halter top, a denim miniskirt, and brown 3-inch heels. Amber wore a tight white T-shirt with the word BABE written across the front in big pink letters, a pink pleated miniskirt, and pink 3-inch heels. And Jessica wore a pink halter top, a light pink miniskirt, and pink 3-inch heels. She loved wearing pink. All five girls unfortunately had the same hairstyles, the same pale skin, tattoos (in Amber's case) and piercings, but they put on new pink make-up.
People who had ignored them the previous day were suddenly throwing insults at them. One girl, a girl named Tina (yes, the same Tina from McDonald's), walked up to them and said "Who are you kidding? What, you think that by dressing up like that you'll be accepted? You're freaks. No matter how much you try to hide it. You'll always be freaks."
Sarah and her friends looked at each other. This wasn't the kind of reaction they were hoping for. And the thing was, they were worse off today than the previous day. Would they never be able get their real lives back?
Zoe and her friends were walking to school when Zoe's cellphone rang. It was Allison.
"Allison? What is it?"
"You wouldn't believe what the freak squad just did."
"What did they do?"
"They dressed themselves up like you. In fact, the clothes they're wearing look a lot like the ones you own."
"Listen, Allison. Don't call me again," she said abruptly, then she hung up.
Zoe turned to her friends. "It looks like Sarah and her friends already got to school and made a big impression. Come on."
