Stephanie Wright could do nothing but stare. As impossible as it seemed, her entire room had changed. But not just her room, but also herself as well. She didn't know how it could be, but her hair was no longer dyed black and her dark make-up and piercings were gone. Even her clothes were different. There was nothing in her closet but pink, pink, and more pink.

If this was some sort of prank, it was the best one yet. Of course she was angry about it, but she had done some pranks in the past and she could at least admire excellent work.
She picked up her cellphone. At least, she thought it was her cellphone. Just like everything else in her room, it was pink. She felt like she was trapped in some little princess' dream house. She dialed Zoe's number and was relieved when she answered. Then she became perplexed when Zoe told her that nearly the same thing happened to her and Athena, Zelda, and Sabrina. Zoe told her to meet her and the others in their usual spot, just on the outskirts of the high school grounds.
After Stephanie hung up, she walked back to the closet. And after minutes of searching, she found something that wasn't completely pink: a black T-shirt with a big pink heart outlined with glitter on the front, and a pair of blue jeans. It was the best she could do.

She didn't know how it could be, but her hair had been dyed black, her skin was very pale, and she had dark make-up and even some piercings. Her clothes were also different. There was nothing in her closet but black, black, and more black.
Jessica hated black.

She dialed Sarah's number and was relieved when she answered. Then she became confused when Sarah told her that nearly the same thing happened to her and Tiffany, Melissa, and Amber. Sarah told her to meet her and the others in their usual spot, in a group of trees a few yards away from the school.
After Jessica hung up, she walked back to the closet. And after minutes of searching, she found something that wasn't completely black: a gray T-shirt and a pair of old blue jeans. It was the best she could do.
