(Author's Note: This particular idea was originally created when Fiction Branches was down for a while, on New Year's 2013. I was never very active there, I guess here is 'home'. The characters were created for a Christmas Mix-Up story written by Anomymous51. Since there was never anything added there, I'd thought I'd bring it here.)
It wasn't long till till midnight. Everyone in the room watching the countdown on TV was excited...but unaware of what would happen to them at midnight...
The Peterson family were all gathered in the living room where, only a week before, they'd opened Christmas presents.
David, the father, was flipping in between various New Year's programs on TV; his lovely wife Debra was sipping a cup of tea; their 16-year old son Tom and their 11-year old son Brian were playing some game; and their 7-year old daughter Sally was dozing nearby.
As soon as midnight hit, David and Debra planned to send them all to bed.
