I sighed and went into the lab. The strapped down AEP unit was awake and angry. The PEP units looked conflicted and confused. I sighed again and walked over to the smiling Mason. "I really hope this means that you have something good." I told him. He nodded his head. At least he was confident. "I did as you asked and looked around for any information dealing with the transmission hub. It was super encrypted and block by several firewalls. It will take time cracking them open." he reported. If that was true we could start to learn more about this alien race. That was a really good start. "Good. What else do you have?" I asked. He smiled wide. "Well, you know that my specialty is systems and operations. I made sure to disable his AEP organ to make him immune from bullets or using his powers to attract metal. I also made sure to lock him in that form. We did not want him to escape. Finally, it was easy for me to make it so that he can no longer run and limited his strength output. That was much easier." I looked at the snarling cyborg. "And he woke up at that point?" I guessed.
Catching a look at him, he dropped the smile. "...Yeah. It was as I was locking in his form. He fought me every step of the way. He tried counterattacking and throwing up firewalls all over." That did not sound good. He saw my reaction and waved it off. "It was child's play to get passed it and shut it down. I've been on a roll ever since I've been here." he assured me. He looked totally happy about that. As long as it was fine with him. I said "Give me the files from the transmission hub logs. I need 2 copies of it." He nodded and took USB sticks from a drawer. He burned the data of the drives and gave them to me. I looked at Chad, Caleb and Greta. I asked them what was wrong with them. "12-001 was begging for help. I want to help them, but they want to hurt our clan. It is giving us conflicting drives." Greta said. I gave them 2 x-wombs and a semen replicator. "Chad and Caleb can compete for the semen replicator. Greta is female so she'll be fine." I said. Caleb took the x-womb. "I can't compete. Just give me this." he said. I allowed it. "You guys can get the upgrades now." I said softly.
Doing this kept them out of the way for now. It also let us talk more frankly. "Listen. You messed up when you tried to attack me. You have failed. Go back to your clan and tell them that us humans are not going anywhere." I said as I stood over him. "There's no way that a human like him could break through my firewalls. I'm the most perfect being on this planet." he snapped. He was just bitter. I smirked and said "It doesn't matter. He won and you lost. That means that you have to go back home. You are really lucky that we didn't put a kill switch in you." He flinched. "You couldn't. I'd disable it." he said in shock. "You want to bet!?" I warned. That is when I saw fear on his face for the first time. Still, he had his pride that he had to uphold. Shakily, he said "S-sure. I'll be able to disable it. Anything a human can do, I can break it. If... if not on my own... then t-together with 06-001." I looked over at a very unconvinced Mason. "You heard him. Make it so that his organ will overheat and explode if either of us push a button on a kill switch." I instructed. "Do we have to?" he asked. I just nodded.
Even though he was reluctant, he got to work and did as I asked him. After 15 minutes, he was finished. He pulled another draw out and handed me a panel with a big red button on the top. "This is the kill switch you ordered." he said sadly. Mason was clearly not into this. I needed to stop pushing or I would become the bad guy here. "Thank you for your hard work Mason. I really appreciate it. How about we let him go and you can get some much deserved rest?" I said with a smile. He smiled back and said "I think I will. Help me unstrap him." I put the kill switch in my pocket inventory. We got the AEP unit out of the chair and he jumped back. He looked like a feral animal and ran out the room. I followed him and made sure that he left the club. I then told Katie not to let him return. She just nodded. "Make sure the others get the memo as well." I ordered. She told me that she would. I then went back to the back to see Mason going over to where Orange and 06-001 were. I sighed and decided to see what was going to happen. Mason looked at me. "I heard Orange was giving a show."
