Matt couldn't believe that mans crazy story. Yet he felt a surge of power flow through them when they touched.
He went back to the college dorm to catch his breath and think things over. So the man said he could swap anything, for physical it doesn't need to be one for one so he could swap one part for a different part, complexity means more concentration, by default the change is noticed but he can concentrate to change that in any way, and swaps cannot effect himself. As Matt was thinking the phone rang. He leaped up to answer it.
"hello?" he said.
"Hi darling, how goes everything?" He recognized this voice, it was Cindy.
"very good honey, just trying to figure out what to do tonight. Maybe dinner and a movie." Matt said.
"I am not in much of a mood for a date at the moment. We can just hang out with friends, I am sure Dale and Scott would be glad to see you." She said.
Matt smiled. Julie was his friend long before she was his girlfriend thus they shared a few friends. When she hung with the friends it was usually with a couple girls she knew. He was relieved she wanted to hang with the guys tonight. But why not. She was friends with them too, in face she dated Dale once.
"Sure, I'll be glad to see you. And visit them too. Any idea where we can meet?" Matt said.
"I was thinking maybe the mall". Cindy replied. "I could use some new outfits, and I know Dale could use some sporting goods since his helmate cracked last game."
Matt winced, that was a nasty hit on the football field. Dale was at college on an athletic scholarship. At first he intimidated Matt, guys like him used to make fun of him in high school. But it seems college adds maturity and he long gave up on stuff like that, and when he found good grades were needed to stay in sports he cut back on his alcohol intake too.
"I'm sure Scott can use a few books for his biochem class too, after all he has a report coming up." Matt says. I guess I should round up the gang and meet with you in a few minutes. Bye honey, I love you." Matt made some kissy sounds at Cindy through the phone, called his other friends to meet up with them, then left to meet with them.
