It was a strange day indeed. I felt a bizarre power flow through me I couldn't explain. Then a tall thin man in a trench coat, sun glasses, and a wide brimmed half walked up to me.
"What's with the get up? You escape from a spy movie?" i asked him.
"no, its just I don't want to be recognized. I passed something on to you, something of great importance. I thought it was best to pass on the information to you as well as the power."
"Power?" i asked incredulously. "what do you mean by that?"
"I gave you the ability to be a swap conduit." He explained, "The power to transfer traits, physical, mental, physiological, roles, lives, belongings, how others view them, or social traits between others, but without swapping with yourself. For five years I used these for fun and mischief. Then I had worried on if I did harm and for five more years used them to help heal the sick and injured to repent for what I did. But ultimately I believe this power should be used for enjoyment, something I can no longer bring myself to do. So I gave them to you. You are now a conduit, the power flows through you but does not change you, The only thing of your own you can swap is the power itself."
"So how do they work? And how can I use them?" i asked, curious that maybe this nutcase had a good story if nothing else.
"you can concentrate and can swap one trait for another, for physical traits those do not even have to be equivalent. The default is for people to notice the traits and find them odd, but further concentration can change how the target and/or those around him see their changes in terms of normalcy in all its shades. But the more concentration a single change takes the harder it gets to get right."
"that sounds easy enough." I said and started to walk away when he grabbed my shoulder.
"Their is more, please do not leave before I am finished", the stranger said. "Among the oddities I found to this power is that you usually need to swap a single object for another, but if you swap a paired object for a single one you can concentrate and do things like switch the size of the swapped parts, or which part is paired vs single. You can with extreme concentration swap things in degrees like swap a single cup size between breasts but that is harder than a full swap. The magic will compensate to allow certain functions to continue regardless of change, a target will be able to see, breathe, eat, talk, and even give birth if pregnant regardless of body state. Also although most things need to swap with something else present. I find that things dealing with the state of health such as pregnancy, periods, sickness, and injury can swap with an absence. The power itself can also swap with an absence. On that note I will tell you one more thing before I leave. The only thing I want in return for giving you this power is that one day you swap it with another person and pass it on for me."
I breathed a sigh of relief as the man walked away and vanished into the shadows of a nearbye alley way.
