Somehow, the voice made Linda feel better...safer...she looked down at herself. Her long t-shirt had changed into a pair of pajamas. She gently lifted up the top, revealing a flat, skinny chest. "I look like a kid."
Mikey went over to the single serve hot beverage maker, removed the coffee pod, and replaced it, putting a cup under it. A few moments later, she had a cup of hot chocolate, which she brought over to Linda. "Drink this..." Linda took a sip, feeling the chocolatey drink warm her insides. "That better?" Mikey asked.
Linda nodded.
"Now...no more breathing this stuff in...it seems dangerous..." Mikey said.
"I didn't do it on purpose," Linda insisted.
"Well, I'm just saying, be careful, that's all. I feel like I can move now...but it is like moving through mud..." Mikey said. "Maybe we should try to go for the door..."
"But...what if people see us?" Linda said.
"We're going to try to leave" Mikey said, firmly. "Now...can you move?"
