Lori, Oliver, and Alan crossed the street and walked up to the front door of the house. Oliver grabbed the doorknob, but found that it was locked. "I could've sworn ..." He paused for a moment. "Someone must have locked it after I left."
"Ring the doorbell, then," Lori said.
Oliver nodded, then did what she said. A moment later, the door opened, revealing a woman that Oliver didn't recognize. What was she doing in his house? It didn't even occur to him that this might not be where he lived.
"Yes, can I help you?" the woman asked.
"How did you get in my house?" Oliver asked.
"Excuse me? This is my house. I've lived here for over eight years," the woman said.
"Oliver, control her. Make her still," Lori said.
Without hesitation, Oliver did as she said. What was happening? Why was he doing what Lori wanted? His eyes went wide, realizing that Lori was controlling him, even after she promised that she wouldn't. Was all of that stuff she said even true? Were there even others like them? Was there a group of people hunting people like them down? Was it all lies? Was Lori just messing with him? All of these thoughts flew through his head, as he took control of the woman's mind, causing her to be silent.
"Scan her mind, Oliver," Lori said. "I want you to genuinely believe that you are her. I want you to have her personality, her memories, her wants and desires."
Deep down, Oliver didn't want to comply. But Lori was obviously more powerful than he was and in a blink of an eye, he did as she asked.
He turned and looked down at himself. "Oh dear," he said effeminately. "What am I wearing?" He walked further back into the house, then came back a few minutes later, wearing one of the woman's dresses. "There, that's much better."
Lori smiled. This was going to be a lot of fun.
