David leaned in toward the mirror, trying to work a clump of mascara out of his eyelashes. He usually didn't have this much trouble with makeup, but there was so much going through his head. He wasn't even sure who he was anymore! As soon as he was finished, he was going to go give Gilmore a piece of his mind!
FLASH
The mascara wand disappeared from his hand. He blinked, and noticed the stickiness was gone from his eyelashes. The mirror in front of him was no longer a mirror - he was now seated at his old desk in his own bedroom!
David quickly stood up and took an inventory. All his clothes were back to normal, no more long blonde hair, everything in his room was back to the way it should be.
And finally, his head felt clear. No more absent "Kayla" thoughts clouding things up. He thought about his family; Mom, Dad, Andy - all his memories were there! He could only hope Gilmore had restored his family as well. He ran back down to the kitchen to check on them.
