Kayla fell back on the plush, pink comforter on his bed. Yeah, his body was sore, but he felt AMAZING. The game was great, he had pulled off the routine perfectly! He and the whole squad were so in the zone, it was like they were the only ones in the basketball arena. He couldn't remember a single moment of the game, but he didn't really care. And the squad was so big this year! It seemed like there was barely enough room in the enormous gym for them. But they made it work, like always. He really was at the top of his cheering game, and everyone else was just as good. He was thinking of going for captain next year, even though he'd have some tough competition from Kayla and Kayla.
He pulled the purple ribbon from his long blonde hair tied it back with a scrunchy. He was starting to feel relaxed when a chirp came from his phone across the room. His heart skipped a beat when he picked it up and saw the message on the screen.
U looked great out there, babe! <3
It was from Brian! He was such a sweetheart. Kayla couldn't quite remember seeing him in the stands at the game, or anyone else for that matter. But he knew his boyfriend wouldn't miss him shaking his booty! He texted back.
Thank u!!!!!! xoxoxo
mall tomorrow? Brian asked.
omg yesss! Can't wait!
great. pick u up at noon
Kayla smiled and hopped up from the bed. He couldn't wait to spend the afternoon at the mall! He stripped out of his uniform, pausing for just a moment to look at himself in his sports bra & panties in the mirror. Something seemed wrong for a fleeting moment. Whatevs, he was in such a good mood it didn't really matter. He peeled the bra off his flat chest and threw on a pink sweatshirt and some black sweatpants with "CHEER" in hot pink letters across the butt.
He opened his closet and pondered what to wear tomorrow. Sure it was Saturday, but he really wanted to look good for Brian! He narrowed it down to a few options that would be perfect for a day date, then headed downstairs to crash in front of the TV
Kayla and Kayla were already downstairs, curled up on the couch and wearing the same thing as Kayla. The middle aged man and woman smiled at the young man as he cuddled up next to them.
Kayla was so glad to have Kayla, Kayla, and Kayla in his life. They were like best friends and sisters all in one. It was like they were always thinking the same thing.
"Where's Kayla?" he asked.
"He's upstairs, probably trying to pick an outfit for tomorrow," Kayla said.
"Yeah, Brian's taking him to the mall tomorrow," Kayla said.
"Me too! I was thinking of wearing that white dress with the lace."
"So was I! It would look really cute with those new boots!"
"OMG that's perfect! Do you think Brian will like it?"
Dr. Gilmore looked on as the conversation on the couch devolved into the finer points of fashion, makeup, and seduction. He scanned the monitors, seeing similar conversations happening in every house in town. Even he was in awe at the internal logic that his program was able to create in an inherently illogical situation. The "Kayla" template was working flawlessly. He wondered if he should continue running it, to see if any bugs emerged, or try a different one - he had so many to choose from!
