Tyler laid on the bed with his video game. The room was not very nice. It was clean, plain, the TV was old but worked. But he was more interested in his video game.
It was the only thing that hadn't changed. His dad wasn't there, his house, his friends...but his video game could stay with him...although it would be better if this motel had wifi.
He paused the game, placed it on the dresser, and went over to the suitcases that hadn't yet been unpacked. He began to rifle through them, laying his mother's nightgown out on the cot, and changing into his pajamas.
Then, while he was there anyway, he unpacked the entire suitcase into the dresser and put it in the closet. If this was going to be home, he would make it more home-like, he decided.
He finished just as he heard the shower turn off.
