After Laura entered the restroom, the stopped and looked at herself in the mirror. She really did look better with her hair down. She looked ... younger. Not that she really cared about how she looked. But in this case, it made her feel younger too. And as far as she was concerned, there wasn't really anything wrong with that.
She was about to turn away from the mirror, to use one of the toilets, but then stopped. She looked at her face. She looked so plain and for some reason that bothered her. Ever since Nadine was born and even before that, she had this look. But now, it didn't seem good enough for some reason. She reached into her purse and pulled out her lipstick. She usually only put barely a coating on, but now she felt like she could use a little more. And while she was at it, she decided to add a bit more eyeliner and a bit more blush as well. When she was done, it was almost like another woman was looking back at her. Almost. Yeah, that was her. But she made herself look prettier. And there was nothing wrong about that, was there? She smiled, liking how she looked. She was pretty. And not indecent at all, unlike those tramps and harlots. All she did was just enhance her natural beauty.
She quickly used the toilet, then washed her hands, then left the restroom. Margaret must have been fairly impatient by then. Laura had kept her waiting long enough.
And a moment later, she was outside, walking towards Margaret's car.
