Chris picked up the MASCULINE spray and was about to spray himself with it, but Susanne grabbed it out of his hand before he could.
"Masculine? Crissy, you need to be more feminine, not the other way around. You already look too much like a guy anyway. Why would you want to smell like one too?"
"No, it's not perfume. It's ..." But before he could finish, Susanne sprayed a little out, probably just to smell it. The chemical touched her and the changes were immediate. The pain must have been nearly unbearable. Susanne fell to the floor and screamed, which caught everyone's attention, obviously. He wanted to shut her up, but the damage was already done. He grabbed the MASCULINE spray canister out of her hand and put it back in the case. Then he put the case in one of his desk drawers, keeping it out of sight.
When Susanne's pain was apparently over, she whimpered a bit and then tried to stand up.
"Hey man, you okay?" another co-worker asked. His name was Dan.
"Yeah," Susanne said. "I just had this intense pain. But it's gone now." She stood up. But the word "she" no longer applied. Susanne was now male, although a very thin one with girlish features. And weirdly enough, he was now wearing different clothes as well. Susanne's conservative dress was replaced by a shirt, tie and khakis ensemble - the typical male employee look. It's the kind of thing that Chris wore to work that day.
Realizing that maybe he missed something, Chris looked back down at himself. His shirt looked nearly the same, but it was definitely different. It was a blouse! How did he not notice that before? His tie was even gone. And his pants ... they were capris! He scooted his chair back from his desk and looked at his shoes. He was wearing heels! How the hell didn't he notice this earlier?
"Wow, must have been something I ate," Susanne muttered, now on her (his) feet.
"Are you okay, Sean?" a guy asked.
Sean? Is that her name now? Chris thought. Man, this is so messed up.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Sean said, then walked back to his cubicle.
Chris turned back to his computer, then towards the clock. It's only been ten minutes? Only ten minutes to go and he could get out of here.
