"Hey Crissy," a woman suddenly said. "Could you tell me ... oh, you're busy. What are those things? Perfume?"
Chris turned towards the voice. The woman's name was Susanne. They rarely talked, but she was acting like they knew each other - as in friends, not just co-workers. And did she call him Crissy? He must have misheard her.
"Uh, it's a birthday present," Chris said. Immediately, he noticed the difference in his voice. It sounded a bit more higher-pitched. He sounded like a deep-voiced woman, actually.
"Oh yeah? From who?" She didn't wait for an answer. "By the way, what did you think of my present?" Chris looked up at her and saw her smiling.
"Your present?" he asked. They barely knew each other. Why would he get a present from her? There was definitely something strange going on here.
"Yeah, the coupon for a free day at the spa? You did get it, right?" she asked.
"Uh, yeah. Yeah, I did. Thanks," he said, humoring her. He had no idea what she was talking about.
"You definitely need it," Susanne said. "Maybe if you tried looking a bit more feminine, you might get a date. I know it's hard for women like you. I had a friend back in college that ..."
Chris suddenly held his breath. Women like him? What the hell? He wasn't a woman. He was a guy. Everyone in the office knew that. The only reason he looked like a woman (anatomically) at the moment was because ... because of the sprays. What the hell was happening here? Did these sprays change reality too?
"Crissy, are you okay? You look white as a sheet," Susanne said.
Chris reached for the MASCULINE spray again. He needed to return things to normal. He didn't want to know anything more about this new reality where he was a flat-chested woman named Crissy. Suddenly, his old (boring) life seemed preferable.
