"Hey gurl, wassup? You look kinda sad today," a voice came from the aisle. Saronda, still reeling, looked a little puzzled. She then noticed the pink bag she carried, which reminded her of her cheerleader friend Tiffany Sanders.
"Tiffany?"
"Yeah, what's up?"
"I dunno..." Saronda was still getting used to her voice, and people would probably call her mad if she said she once drove a sports car to school. "I just don't feel good today, gurl."
"Well, we got a big math test today. Hope ya did your homework. Plus, cheerleading practice."
"Oh yeah, of course." The bus came to a stop in front of the high school, which at least looked like it always had. "I'll see ya later," she finished as the two of them got off the yellow bus and headed to their first classes of the day.
