"If someone drinks just one sip of this liquid, the person will become a bimbo!"
"A bimbo? Why would you want to turn someone into a bimbo?" Tom asked. Although, being a guy, he could obviously see the use. It's just that he didn't understand the doctor's motivation. Dr. Singer was all about making scientific progress. Not making people dumb. And bimbos were ... well ... dumb.
"Military and espionage applications come to mind. Imagine if an enemy country had a person with a great intelligence. With one sip from this, that person would be rendered useless."
"Yeah, but you'd have to get to them first. Wouldn't it just be easier to kill them ... I mean, if they're such a threat?"
"Okay, what if it's put into the water supply? Imagine. All the people living in an enemy country suddenly becoming bimbos, too stupid to be a threat anymore. It's a very humane course of action. No one gets killed, yet the threat has been nullified."
"I suppose."
Harold placed his hand on Tom's shoulder. "Believe me. This will do wonders for the world."
