As Allison began to get ready for the Bible study that apparently may not even happen now, now that her mother was off doing something somewhere, there was a knock at the door.
Still carrying the Bible that was in her hand, she walked to the front door and opened it. But no one was there. They did, however, leave a note. She picked up the folded piece of paper and opened it:
Please come to the park and meet me at the black van. It's very important.
It wasn't addressed to anyone and it wasn't signed, but Allison knew that it was supposed to be for her. She didn't know how she knew, but she knew.
So, without another thought, she dropped the Bible on the floor and headed out. She wouldn't need her car. The park wasn't that far away. She'd just walk there.
"Sis?" David asked, walking out of his bedroom and into the living room. "Mom?" He looked around. "Where is everyone?"
When Allison arrived at the park, she spotted the black van immediately and headed straight towards it. When she got to it, she knocked on one of the back windowless doors and it opened.
