Kevin turned and saw the young woman who was yelling at him ... or was he a "her" now? He was so confused. He looked back at his mama with a clear look of confusion. "Mama, who's that woman? And why is she yelling at me?"
Julie could only stare. Had Kevin completely lost his mind?
"She's just a guest, Katherine. Just ignore her," the old woman said.
Julie was shocked. What was the old woman trying to do? Brainwash her boyfriend into thinking that he was a girl named Katherine? Surely, Kevin's mind was resistant enough. He could be pretty stubborn, as Julie knew from experience. But she still had to try to help him.
"Your name isn't Katherine. It's Kevin," Julie said.
The old woman glared at her. Then she looked at her two "daughters", who were standing behind Julie. "Lock her up in the back," she said.
The two guys dressed as girls grabbed Julie and hauled her deeper into the house. Julie tried her best to squirm free, but it was no use.
"Now, Katherine," the old woman said to Kevin. "We can finally talk without anymore interruptions."
Kevin still looked a little confused, but then said "Okay, Mama." If there was anyone who could help him understand what was happening, it was his mama.
