Kevin and Julie got a bit of a shock, because the people standing beside the stairs were definitely not someone's daughters. They were two guys, dressed in female clothing. Kevin could even see the bulge beneath their skirts.
"Hi," the one on the left said shyly.
"Hello," the other one said, with a wimpy wave.
They both had a sweet and innocent (and maybe a little empty) smile on their faces. It was something someone might see on a girl, but not a guy.
"What the hell's going on here?" Kevin asked, spinning around towards Mary. "They're a couple of ..."
Suddenly, some kind of dusty powder got sprayed into his face. He coughed and fell to the floor.
"Kevin! Are you okay?!" Julie asked, grabbing hold of him.
"Step away from him!" Mary yelled.
Julie looked up at her with wide angry eyes. "What did you do to him, you ..."
"Mama?" Kevin uttered.
Julie looked down at him with wildly confused eyes. She watched as Kevin stood up and then hugged the woman who had sprayed that stuff into his face.
"I feel weird, Mama," he said.
"Kevin, why the hell are you acting like that!" Julie yelled. "Snap out of it!"
"Please!" Mary yelled at Julie. "Don't yell at my daughter!"
"Daughter?" Julie barely uttered.
