As the mad scientist excitedly ran back towards a table full of test tubes and beakers, Julie yelled out to him. "What are you going to do to us?"
He peered over his shoulder and gave her the same crazy smile he gave earlier, then continued with his "work", not answering her question.
Julie turned around and shook Kevin some more. "Come on, Kevin," she said. "Wake up, please."
As she desperately tried to awaken her boyfriend, Julie suddenly felt a sharp prick. She turned around with wide eyes and saw that the mad scientist was squatting near the cage, with a needle in his hand.
The needle was empty. That sharp prick she felt must have been the needle. The mad scientist injected her with something when she was trying to wake up Kevin.
But what did the scientist do to her? What was in the needle?
He watched her with eyes of anticipation, as if something was going to happen within the next few moments.
