Lizzy hesitantly approached the hotel that had just appeared. From the outside, it looked like any regular hotel one would find along a highway, but was it the same inside?
She opened the glass door in the front and walked inside, noticing right away that the lobby had lighting. How was that possible? Where was the hotel getting the electricity from?
"Good evening," a voice suddenly said, breaking the silence.
Lizzy's head shot to her left and she saw a man behind the front desk. He was a plain-looking man, wearing a suit and tie.
"Welcome to The Hotel," he said, smiling. There was something odd about that smile. Like it was being faked.
"Lizzy, are you in here?" Jeremy asked, walking inside. After he spotted her, he approached her. "Lizzy, you ..."
"Shh," she said. "Look." She pointed at the man behind the desk.
"Where did he come from?" Jeremy asked.
"Maybe he came with the hotel," Lizzy said.
"I only thought of the hotel, not what was in it."
"Welcome, sir," the hotel man said, still smiling. "Welcome to The Hotel. Can I get you a room?"
"Uhh ... sure," he said, approaching the desk.
