Moments later, Jeremy was joined by Seth, Sarah, and Lizzy.
"Is this amazing, or what?" Seth asked, excitedly, scooping the desert sand up in his hands and then tossing it around.
"Yeah, it's amazing," Lizzy said, dryly (no pun intended). "But I wish we had some water."
Suddenly, they heard a rumbling noise, as if there were something underground vibrating. Even the sand began to shift this way and that.
"What is that?!" Sarah yelled over the building noise of the disturbance.
