Lizzy moved her hand over the display screen and touched the picture showing an icy tundra, but then she changed her mind and returned it to the alien desert, the one with the red sky.
"Now what?" Jeremy asked.
"We step through," Seth said.
Jeremy walked up to the portal, took a deep breath, then walked into it. The trip was instantaneous. One moment he was in the ship's cargo bay, the next he was standing in the alien desert. He could feel the hot sunlight hitting his face and the dryness of the air. It was all real.
