As we made our way to the street, he turned to me. "Who are you looking for?" he asked. "I need to find Mason LaDip. He was a reprogrammer that was able to break in a PEP unit in the 5000s." I told him. He nodded. "That'll help if we need to switch sides." I shook my head. "No. I am talking about the C-JAMs. We recruit him and up his level. Then catch one of them and let Mason flip them to our side." Paul said "That sounds like it might work. You know where he is?" I replied "He was being taken in by government agents last I saw him." Paul groaned and said "Fine. I need to look something up." He pulled out a phone and tapped on it. A moment later, he showed me the dark screen. I saw that he was in prison on death row. It was a maximum-security prison up north. It was outside Kelvin City in the no man's land. "Brett is really going to want in on this." I agreed. We got him and got going in the van. We were packing lots of heat for this mission. It took a full day to make it to the prison. Once we got there, we asked to see Mason. It was not time for visitors to visit. We had to wait hours.

Just as we were getting annoyed, they let us speak to him. They led us to the visitation area. We were on one side of the plexiglass, and he was brought forward. Once in the room, his handcuffs were taken off. Once he sat down, he reached for the phone. I did the same on our side. "You have some nerve coming here!" he snapped. "I need to know one thing. If you answer me, we can work something out." I said. He looked at me with a posture that did not scream trust. "Just tell me what happened." I said. He sighed out loud and told us. He made it back from his cousin just in time for the agents to surround the house. They caught him and searched his house. Having the 2 parts of an X-frame was both a useful tool for the side of humanity and a damning pile of evidence against Mason. It was not like his fucking and conversing with the PEP units was legal. A lawful citizen would report them to the proper authorities. They confiscated his work on the laptop, threw the book at him and put him on death row. I asked if he wanted to join our clan. "You mean a clan clan? PEPE clan?" he asked.

Kicking his feet dejectedly, he said "Sure. But let's face it. I'm not getting out of here." I looked at Brett and Paul. It was time to go. They smashed out the plexiglass and shot the guards in the room. I reached out to Mason with a smirk. "If you want to live, come with us!" I said. He chuckled and said "Okay!" Mason joined our party, and we fought our way out of the prison. It was not over until we got in the van. Paul boosted him all the way to level 112. It made him tired, and he fell asleep in the back. Now that he was part of the clan, I did not need to worry about those C-JAMs messing with us. We just needed to capture one that got too close to us and give them to Mason for a reprogramming session. They would not know what hit them. I got a call from one of the knights from Ether. The cops wanted to search the Red Grind and the cab depot. I told them to allow the cops to search the Red Grind. It was fine. There was nothing there. There was nothing in the cab depot either. It was just the elevator that led down to the clan building's Main Hall. It would take them some time to search it all.
