Damage already done; the PEP unit stumbled down the street. I got up and chased after him. I tackled him to the ground and I fell with a grunt. "What is up with you!? It's not your business, and I have to go. Get off me." he said in annoyance. "Not when I know what I can do to save that kid." I spat. I was not letting him go. He was not able to shake me off anymore. After 5 minutes, I said "I'm going to let you go now. Those guys probably have her at the police station by now." I did not need to kill him. I just wanted to make sure the kid was okay. He sucked his teeth and said "Fine! Get off." I got off him and he popped up. He kept attacking me. I just dodged and ran circles around him. "You kept me from a good reward. Us non-clan units really need them to survive! I'm going to make this painful to you." he said. I decided to end the conflict by running away. He just followed me. I stopped and kicked him. The PEP unit fell on his ass again. "My chassis!" he hissed in pain. I picked him up over my shoulder. It made him squirm and whine to try to escape. "I'm not some human child!" he protested.

Even with his wiggling, he was too injured to actually break free. "Why do I feel like you will attack me again as soon as I set you on solid ground?" I asked him. He just went quiet. The silence spoke volumes. "I'm taking you to get a check up at the library." I told him. Thankfully, he stopped fighting me. On the way there, I was stopped by some different Phobia members. They insulted me and asked what I was doing. I just backed down and let them talk shit as I left the group. A couple of blocks later, I was stopped by an android from the government. She showed me her credentials as an agent of the state and wanted to know where I was going. I just looked at her and said "We are just hanging around the town. What's wrong with that." She said nothing. When she walked away, I decided to take a detour on the way to the library. It was a bit risky. Like I thought, another android agent approached. "You guys look pretty suspicious." he said. "Nothing even close is going on." I said. "Why is this person on your shoulder?" he asked. "We are playing a game." I answered. The agent frowned.

Feeling adventurous, I said "Have you seen any PEP units around!? I hear they are all around town." The android adopted a more open stance. "Do you have a report to make, citizen?" he asked. I fed him some false information. He nodded and listened to every word. "Do not worry about it. Us C-JAM units will keep the streets safe from the PEP cyborgs. I was confused. "C-JAM? I'm sorry, but what does that mean?" I asked. He nodded at me and said "You are okay. Not many civilians would know this. I am an android. Not like those nasty and subversive cyborgs. C-JAM stands for Criminal Justice Automaton Model. We are here to protect humans from criminals and the evil PEP units lurking among you." The android in front of me smiled warmly. The cyborg on my shoulders was fuming though. "Well, if I ever see a nasty PEP attacking or raping someone on the street, I'll be sure to report it." I turned to leave when the android got in front of me. "Do you want to report something, citizen?" he asked with a smile. "Hmm, no?" I said in confusion. "There seems to be a PEP unit on your shoulders."
