"Whoa, dude," her grandfather said. "That was, like, so weird."
"Grandpa?" Ally asked.
"Whoa, where am I?" he said, looking around. He acted as if he were high.
Ally looked back at the mirror. "Grandpa, can you hear me?" She still saw the long-haired boy in the mirror, but he seemed confused. "Grandpa!" she yelled, trying to get his attention, but he didn't seem to hear her.
She looked over at the man who looked like her grandfather but wasn't. Somehow the boy in the mirror switched bodies with him. It happened when they touched the mirror. If she could get them to do it again ...
She grabbed her grandfather and pushed him towards the mirror. "Whoa!" he yelled out. Then she grabbed his arm, forcing him to touch the mirror again. In the mirror, Ally saw the teenage boy (who was really her grandfather) moving his own hand towards the mirror. Maybe he understood what to do.
But just as they each were about to touch the mirror, Ally heard her grandmother. "Ally? Is your grandpa up there?" Unfortunately, the sudden sound of her grandmother's voice threw off Ally's concentration.
