Dawn set down a plate of fish and chips in front of Brandon and a bowl of chili in front of Donna.
"Excuse me," Donna said. "Can I have some crackers to go with this?"
"Sure," Dawn said. She walked behind the counter and grabbed some. Right at that moment, the whole building shook, as though there were an earthquake, even though they weren't in a seismic zone. Something outside caught everyone's attention. Through the windows, they witnessed buildings disappearing and the cars becoming more and more retro. It was as if everything outside the building was moving into the past. They watched as the outfits of the people walking around outside became more and more retro also, but the people themselves stayed the same. First it was 80's attire, then 70's, then 60's, and soon enough men were dressed in suits and hats, and women were in dresses.
Then, suddenly, the changes seemed to "slow down", and when the changes stopped, the outside world had the appearance of circa ...
