It was very easy for Ryder to remove the vent panel and lean down. He used the wire from the port at his neck to plug into the servers. Ryder was the only one of us that could hack in. There was no standing room in the closet below. Our plan would not be able to work if he could not access the floor plan and find where all the prisoners were being held. After a minute or so, he gasped and groaned. "It's too highly secured. I can barely scratch at the surface before being chased out." he said. That made sense. He was a grunt we picked up off the streets. This was a government facility. I still had some cyphers in my inventory, so I gave him some. He was able to hack in the server right away. After a minute of searching, he said "Alright. I found where the holding cells are. It's in the detention wing, Wing D sub-basement 2." I asked him where we were now. "We are in Wing A floor 1." he said after briefly assessing the plan. Depending on the floor plan and ventilation shafts, it could be close or far. "Lead the way, Ryder." he said. He then began crawling. I followed him for 13 minutes.

Crawling to an empty hallway there was a hatch to drop down. We had to watch what was going on. There seemed to be guards patrolling the area. This was still the first floor. "We need to incapacitate the guards and go down the stairs to the sub-basement level." he said to me. "Alright. We have do it quickly and quietly." I said. "Let's see when the guards exchange shifts." It took about an in-game hour before they switched posts. After a minute it was clear they were not coming back. We counted down quietly and Ryder jumped down silently. Even as a grunt, his strength and speed were much better than the average human's. He incapacitated the guard and stood under the vent to catch me. I jumped down and fell in his arm with a grunt. "Don't worry. I have you." he said. I smiled and thanked him. "Get his guard credentials if he has any. We might need them downstairs." I told him. He put me down and searched the guard's body. "I got them." he said. We went downstairs. Ryder needed to scan the card to open the door. We then went all the way down to Wing D sub-basement 2.

If we did not have the credentials, we would not be able to proceed. Once we swiped the card, we were allowed to enter the floor. We stealthily made our way to the cells following the floor path. The 6 captured PEP units were all in the cells. They were in pairs in 3 consecutive cells along the right side of the wall. All of them looked like they were tortured. Some were missing limbs, skin or sensory organs. Only 4 of them had both legs. We let them out of the cells. Of the 4, 1 was blinded; 2 had at least one arm removed; 1 was deafened and all of them were covered in crusty blue blood. It was going to be a tough extraction. Ryder said "There are 3 possible egresses. It is not going to be easy." I asked him what the closest exit was. "I'll lead the way." I took out my cheat rifle and said "I'll cover you." We needed to get out of here. With just these 4, we could staff the police station with agents on the inside. We made our way slowly down the corridor to the exit. There were several guards blocking the exit. I stepped forward and cleared them. It triggered the alarms. We had to get out of there.
