Charlie decided that the family's well-being was too important. This situation probably wouldn't have even happened if Charlie hadn't caused Renee to bump into the CEO outside her apartment. He had to rectify it. And that meant keeping all parties involved safe. Well, the non-criminal ones anyway. Renee may have been a criminal in this reality, but Charlie was still a do-gooder.
He ran down the alley after the accomplice-turned-CEO. As he ran, he noted how much more fit Renee's body was in this new reality. She probably worked out a lot since she was now basically a thug. Thanks to Renee's enhanced physical condition, Charlie was able to catch up with the guy before he left the alley.
He grabbed him and pushed him back towards the van. The guy struggled, but Charlie kept him from getting free.
When they got back to the van, the gunman ordered Charlie to put the CEO in the back of the van and he told him to do it right this time.
The woman was already put in the van when Charlie was chasing down the CEO, so they were all ready to go. They closed the back doors and locked them.
"Come on," the gunman said. "Let's go."
