Leonard paced around the room, wondering what to do with the rock. "There's no way this can be real. It has to be a toy, but even if it is a toy, will it do any harm to try it out?" He had school in the morning, and made plans later tonight anyway, so he didn't want to cause any doomsday scenarios that might endanger the fate of the world with a mere whim. Something small perhaps? The telescope he got as a gift was nice, but perhaps he could upgrade it.
He looked over, yeah, he always had ideas for that! While looking into the stone and holding it up, he concentrated closely on his wish.
"I wish this telescope had X-ray, no, a thousand and one different vision settings as if to be practically magic. Able to look into the stars, the future and past, into people's souls or minds, anything!" There was a bright flash and then the telescope gained a single, no actually two obsidian rings around the handle.
He walked over and started rotating it. "No way-" With every rotation, a different lens would appear and modify it's vision, able to see weak points, weather, energy, x-rays, gamma radiation, thru time-and-space, anything! It was exactly as he'd wished.
"This rock is, real! I can wish for anything, anything at all!" He was almost too eager, before picking up the note again for a reread. "Wait, it says here a single person can only make 3 wishes in a row. Or rather, 3 in a single day atleast. That means I only have two left? Does it reset at midnight or, after 24 hours?" He wondered.
"Well whatever it is, I might as well test it out! The telescope." He put the wishing rock aside and held the telescope off it's stand. Time to proceed with his first wishing-rock based investigation.
