(Author's note: I had fun setting up these new roles! I'm gonna bow out for now. Hope someone runs with them!)
It was Jon's turn. He took the bag and with a deep breath, put his hand in. Who was he gonna be!? A hot girl from the local college? A star athlete for the local minor league baseball team? A rich playboy or trophy housewife who had his every whim taken care of? The possibilities were endless!
Jon pulled out a name. "Jessica Miller. Whose she!?" Jon asked excitedly.
Roger chuckled. "Looks like we might be spending some time together this week. She's the daughter of my friend Roy. I think he goes to Emma's school."
Jon's face dropped. Of all the ways he could spend his week, he's gonna do it as tween girl??
Roger saw the disappointment on his son's face and put his arm around him. "Cheer up boy! I'm sure we'll have lots of fun being friends this week!"
Neither one of them knew though that the two of them would be anything but friends. Every rising mean girl needs their target. For Emma, that was Jessica. Jessica really didn't have anything worth bullying. Emma bullied her out of jealousy. Jessica was also pretty for her age. Like Emma, Jessica was also athletic. Instead of doing fancy activities like ballet and horseback riding though, Jessica did more down to Earth ones like dance and swim. Jessica was pretty down to Earth herself. She was just the unlucky one to get caught in Emma's crosshairs. The most frustrating thing for Emma about Jessica though was that she always stood her ground. Emma just couldn't find a way to break her!
The father and son were gonna be crossing paths that week, just not in the way either one would suspect.
With all the names picked, the family immediately got to business. They said their goodbyes and went off to claim their new lives for the week.
