"I didn't come by to do anything with you. I just came by to apologize. I do love you. I really do. I want you to know that. But ... things are going too fast."
"I understand, Father. Maybe if we took things a little slower?"
"Maybe. Yes, that could ..." He got distracted. "Oh. Are you having company?"
P.L. turned around and saw Natalie. But she wasn't the same Natalie that was there a few minutes ago. Unlike P.L., her body remained the same, but her clothes and her make-up and hair were different, almost mimicking P.L.'s.
Natalie walked towards the priest and said shyly (in a manner that certainly was not typical Natalie) "Good day to you, Father."
"This is my friend Natalie," P.L. said to the priest.
"Hello, Natalie."
Natalie smiled sweetly, innocently.
"Uh, so anyway. I just wanted to apologize."
"Apology accepted."
The priest nodded, then left.
Natalie closed the door, as P.L. collapsed on the couch. "He loves me," she said, dreamily.
Then, suddenly, P.L. was replaced by Chris. And Natalie returned to normal.
