Ten minutes later, Chris let Natalie into his apartment.
"Okay, what is it? You need money or something?"
"No. Nothing like that."
"Then what is it?" she asked.
"I know this is gonna sound weird and impossible, but ..." He took a deep breath. "I keep turning into a woman."
"You made me come all this way just to make a joke?" She pushed Chris out of the way and walked to the door. "I'm out of here."
"Wait! I'm not joking. This isn't a joke. Whenever I get near a another guy, I turn into whatever the guy's fantasy girl is. Her name is P.L. Aything."
"You expect me to believe that?"
"Actually, no. I wouldn't believe it myself."
"Chris. What do you want?"
"I want you to take me somewhere where I can be safe."
"I really don't have time for this," she said, before turning back towards the front door. She obviously wasn't going to humor him.
"Wait!"
"No, Chris. This is why I divorced you. You never took anything seriously, especially our marriage."
She grabbed for the door, when suddenly there was knocking. Someone was outside.
"Don't answer it," Chris said.
"What? Why?"
"It could be a guy."
"Chris, this is ridiculous." She started to turn the knob.
