Jennifer blinked; that light was exactly the kind that was emitted by the stone when its magic took effect, but the stone was still securely in the purse she was currently wearing. However she had greater concerns as her friend Leona had stumbled and sagged against the lockers. The platinum haired cheerleader had been chatting amicably with Jennifer before the white flash of light, which seemed to have disoriented her. Jennifer put an arm out to study the girl and asked "Leona, hun, are you okay?"

Meanwhile from Leona Vanderfield's perspective, she had been Leonard Drullers moments beforehand. She'd been trying to fit the diorama she was working on for her sociology class in her locker, ignoring Tiffany Sanders loud put downs echoing from down the hall when her entire world had changed. She certainly looked nearly nothing like Leonard Drullers now, and in fact looked like she was Tiffany's twin sister. (The magic of the wish takes fortunate features, Leonard didn't have very many to begin with and ended up closer to a Tiffany clone than Jennifer did to a Sarah one.) The only major difference between them was that she retained her own green eyes. She had Tiffany's straight platinum hair, her tanned toned legs, her perky b-cups and even her womanhood.

She was also wearing the cheerleader uniform Tiffany had been wearing, her mind filled with images of participating in the sport. She blinked up at Jennifer Gibson, a girl she'd been too nervous to talk to moments before and suddenly felt a friendly closeness to her. "Jen, what happened to me?"

Before Jennifer could answer there were two simultaneous deep voiced shrieks from either end of the hallway. "I knew you were doing something freaky, Jon!" Sam yelled as he charged the cheerleaders. Something in the back of his mind knew the white flash was what had made his world go awry and the way Jennifer had reacted, she HAD to be in on what was going on. Tanner Sander's yell was much more inarticulate, unable to form words after the shock of suddenly going from a beautiful cheerleader to obese nerd. He was simply full of anger, and was lumbering towards the thief as fast as his stocky legs could take him.

Jennifer panicked for a moment, before her cool head prevailed and she darted her fingers into the purse to touch the stone. "I wish Tanner and Sam would freeze until I release them, and I'd know what the last flash of light did."

Both boys froze mid stride, their eyes twitching with anger and fear as they found themselves unable to run. Leona was distantly surprised that her friend was some sort of genie, but mostly she was running her hands over her body as she catalogued the changes. Meanwhile, Jennifer's eyes flashed white as understanding dawned on her. Her original wish was still taking effect, striking wherever there was conflict or feelings of envy between people with very disparate social standings. She was shocked to realize her headmistress used to be a nerdy kid like Marvin and that her friend Maddie's sister and mother had completely flipped. The wish gave her more intensive information on Leona and the boy she now knew to be the former Tiffany.

Many sets of conflicting memories fought in her head as she could remember the realities of the various combinations of exchanged individuals. There was the world where she was Jon and nothing had changed, the world of this morning when only Jennifer and Sam had changed, and so on. She squeezed her eyes shut and tried to focus on Leona and Tanner to avoid getting a headache. One thing she could say was that she was not sad to see the back of Tiffany Sanders, who she could now remember dissing Amber just before the shift. Leona was a much better teammate. They weren't as close as she and Amber were but they got on well and hung out a fair bit with the rest of the squad.

Leona was now the epitome of a hot geek girl, being part of the cheerleaders and the head of the schools DND club. Indeed, Leona was far more social with her nerdy hobbies than Leonard had been, roping her friends into going to renaissance festivals, conventions, arcades and more, while Leonard had mostly kept to himself. The picture of Jennifer and Karyn as Zelda and Lara Croft that Jen had discovered that morning had shifted to have Leona, who was apparently known as the cosplay queen, smiling with them in a killer Black Cat costume.

Jen opened her eyes and considered her options, while Leona cupped her own breasts, still disbelieving they were hers. A far cry from the girl so comfortable with her own body that the stone had informed her she now was. Jen hadn't intended her original wish to have such a wide effect, but could she really say she was upset? She loved her new life, personally, and Tiffany was certainly as deserving as Sarah to be taken down as a casualty of lifting someone up. Still, had Jackie and Maryanne deserved to have their worlds flipped upside down? Jen shook her head; there wasn't a point to worrying about what had happened. The stone's magic could not easily be reversed, so she should focus on containment. Sam obviously wasn't going to leave her alone and it looked like Tanner would be the same way. Plus, without her own secondary wish to recall parts of her new life when she needed to, would the newly fortunate ones know enough not to mess up their new lives?

"Okay, first thing first, damage control. I wish Leona, Tanner and Sam wouldn't remember me wishing on the stone and would teleport home." With a flash of light, the delighted new girl and furious new boys vanished, leaving the hall deserted aside from Jen. "I wish Tanner and Sam would unfreeze and not remember being frozen, and that they would think they'd just gone home right after school." That hopefully addressed the acute issues, now to look at the long term ones. She couldn't stop the magic she'd already invoked, but maybe she could control it?

"I wish my original wish would peter out by the end of the week." There was a flash of light indicating the wish was accepted, making Jennifer sigh in relief. She'd been worried that was too close to a reversal. This way there would be a limit on the number of people caught up in this. Now to help Leona, Yuki and Ms. Duncan, "I wish the people besides me who were exchanged would acclimate quickly, and wouldn't mess up their new lives too badly before they get comfortable with the changes."

Hopefully worded that way it wouldn't seem like anything additional had happened while giving them a safety net. She was enjoying exploring her new life and wanted to let the others have the same experience, rather than override their memories with ones of the new world. After all, how could you appreciate your fortune if you didn't remember being on the other side. The only thing left to do was protect against Sam; she didn't want to hurt the boy really, considering she thought what she'd already taken was more than fair, but she also didn't want to be looking over her shoulder forever.

"I wish Sam can never refer to me as Jon, or as a boy, again. I also wish he could only refer to himself as Sam and with male pronouns." Jen's lips twisted in dismay at that. She had quickly come to hate her old name and what it represented. "I wish no one but me and those I designate can touch the stone; if someone not authorized tries to take it, it should vanish back to my jewelry box and stay there until I can return to it. I wish the new unfortunate were unable to explicitly discuss the previous world with anyone other than the person they exchanged with. I wish I would be able to recognize anyone who's been exchanged and recall their old forms if I focus but have my memories of the current reality remain at the fore." The last bit was to hopefully stop her from getting headaches when she hung out with Leona.

Satisfied with her precautions, she turned on her heels and hurried to meet Karyn and Zoe.
