Cheer practice was amazing! The thought ran through Jen's mind as she tumbled through the air before landing deftly in Melissa's arms. It was the same exhilaration she'd gotten a taste of in gym class turned up to eleven as she put the team through their paces, getting ready for the basketball game on Saturday. The squad was firing on all cylinders and Jen's chest swelled with pride. They were in the gymnastics gym, practicing after classes had ended. Her remaining classes had gone well after her aborted confrontation with Sam. The boy had still skulked around her a little bit but didn't approach again. She'd given Karyn a quick kiss (She so loved getting to do that) before she had to dash to rehearsal and Jen went to practice.

Jen had dressed in her blue and bronze short skirted cheerleader uniform for what was technically the first time even though in this world she'd been cheering since she was a little girl. The uniform was tight in the right places to show off all of Jennifer's beautiful curves. Where Jon had thought of cheerleaders as football hangers on, Jen was now a fierce advocate of cheer as a sport. And Jen was absolutely an athlete, a fact attested to as she stood proudly at the top of the pyramid. She was getting on well with the team as well for the most part. Melissa and Jessica in particular were both nice and seemed to be dedicated to the team. Amber, who was equal parts sweet and sassy, had quickly become one of her favorite people and she was genuinely looking forward to their double date on Friday even if Biff would be there. Maybe he wasn't so bad in this world? She could only hope.

The only sour note was Tiffany who seemed to be the same mean girl she'd been when Sarah ruled the roost, just a bit quieter about it. She seemed to act deliberately contrarian when Jen talked through the routine adjustments and rolled her eyes outrageously when Amber gushed about a cute pic of Jen and Karyn. Still, she didn't do anything too outright disrespectful to Jennifer, as she couldn't afford to seriously piss off the captain, even if she was coming close.

Eventually practice ended and the squad hit the showers and locker room. Jennifer grinned as she scrolled through her texts before changing. Karyn had wrapped rehearsal and was waiting for her out front and Zoe was also done at Volleyball. Apparently her friend Lexi was busy that afternoon so she invited Jen and Karyn to go shopping with her at the mall instead; Jennifer's heart warmed at the close relationship she and Zoe now had. It reminded her of how close they'd been as kids in the old reality, before Zoe went goth.

She re-buckled her skirt, slung her black purse over her shoulder, and adjusted her necklace from Karyn so it lined up perfectly between her breasts before heading out, her violet heels clicking on the floor of the locker room. She confirmed her plan with Amber to go to Les Roux then the catch the production of Camelot going on at the Lake Valley theater on Friday, before heading out to meet her girlfriend and sister. Unfortunately she found herself exiting at the same time as Tiffany. Tiff was wearing a silver shimmery halter top and short jeans shorts, with strappy heeled white sandals. Her platinum hair spilled in shiny waves over her back. Jennifer resolved to just ignore the girl, but quickly found that was hard to do.

"Gah, the squad really needs to shape up" Tiffany snarked. "You should replace Levine with me as Vice, I'd whip them into shape."

"Thanks, but no" Jennifer slowly replied, "Amber's doing a great job as far as I'm concerned."

Tiffany scoffed, "Whatever you say, Gibson." She turned her imperious gaze down the hall they were walking, where Leonard Drullers was struggling to fit a diorama into his locker. "Urgh, why do they let losers like him even attend Lake Valley. This is a charter, it's supposed to keep the riff raff out."

Jennifer was about to pipe up in Leonard's defense, the boy had always been nice to her when she was Jon, but before she could there was a flash of light and it was no longer Tiffany walking next to her.

Down at the other end of the hall, Sam's eyes widened at the flash. The boy had been stalking Jennifer for more information since school ended and was sure this white light had to be connected to whatever had turned the world topsy turvy.

(So, if someone already affected by the reversal directly witnesses another one, they know something happened, even if they're not sure exactly what. If they don't witness the flash they think the world was always like this just like everyone else. Normal people who see the flash don't react to it.)
