Karyn was lying on her bed staring at the ceiling, and trying to understand how could this day turn out so bad.

At first, when she fixed her problem, she felt elated. Having bigger breasts might have been an interesting experience, and they looked great, but after only a day she was already getting fed up with them. They were getting in her way all the time, and were putting quite a strain on her back. Having her previous bust size back felt much better. Maybe if she gave it more time she could have got used to them, but at current she had not really wanted to.
Her hair was entirely different matter, though. They felt foreign to her. Every time they came into view, brushed her shoulder or back, or she caught a glimpse of them in the mirror, she felt as if they were not really a part of her. In a way, this was strange. After all, if she only wanted, she would be able to achieve the same result, that her ill worded wish had caused, in a 'natural' way. She guessed it had a lot to do with how different those hairs made her look, and how abrupt and noticeable the change was.

All of that should have been fixed now, but it turned out an unpleasant surprise was waiting for her in her home. Actually, 2 surprises, and Karyn was now reminiscing on those events...

When Karyn arrived home she was at the verge of tears. Jon words had hurt her badly. True, she might have made some mistakes at first, but those were clearly unintended! Then, maybe she teased Jon a little too much, but this was a direct response to his behaviour. Ok, now that she considered this, she might have actually liked (just a little!) to have the power over him, but she never considered leaving him like this!

At first, when she run away, she was furious. Jon had shouted something behind her, and it seemed he even tried to catch up to her, probably to apologize, but he soon stopped. That enraged her even more. Was she so unimportant to him so that he would give away so easily? In her enraged state she failed to notice an obvious reason why Jon had to give up his pursuit.

When Karyn arrived at her doorstep, the anger had died down, replaced mostly with sadness she likely had not experienced in her life so far. Jon had said he should have never trusted her, and that he did not care any more... She felt that it could be a beginning of the end of the friendship that lasted from as long as she could remember. She could feel tears gathering in her eyes. At that moment she entered her home, and things went from bad to worse.

Her mom, Jane Black, was in the kitchen, and her first words were: "KARYN! What have you done with your hair!". It hit her then: her new power had apparently not impacted reality, contrary to her first wish yesterday! Her mother, and everybody else that were in the vicinity when she made the original wish, will still remember her as busty blonde. She immediately forgot about her issues with Jon.

"Well, how are you going to explain this young lady?" were here mother next words, after brief pause.
"Umm... I always wanted to try something new, I guess?" - was the first response Karyn was able to come up with.
"Haven't we talked about this in the past? You had such beautiful hair, and you had promised not to cut them short, or dye them until you graduate from high- school, have you not? Could you not have waited just a little longer? I'm really disappointed in you!" - Karyn mother seemed more sad than angry while saying this.
"I'm sorry mom. It's just that I was really getting fed up with those hair. It was such a chore to take a proper care of them." - Karyn tried to defend herself.
"I understand, but the fact remains, that you had broken you promise. We will have to think about suitable punishment for that. For now please go to your room. I have more urgent matters to attend to. I promise, it's just one thing after another today..." - Ms. Black said, and her shoulders slumped.
"Why, what had happened?" - asked Karyn, concerned.
"It's your grandpa... There is no signal in his phone from yesterday's evening. I'm getting really concerned."
"You are talking about this new satellite phone we had got him this year? That one that was supposed to always have reception, right?"
"Yes. It's not something that should have happened, at least as long as he remembered to charge it."
"Perhaps that's what happened. You know that grandpa can be forgetful at times." - Karyn saw her mother was quite concerned, and tried to comfort her somehow.
"Perhaps, but still, the phone had quite a long lasting battery. Moreover, there was a signal yesterday evening, but your grandpa was not picking up. It's only today that the signal had died..."

At that point Karyn was also getting concerned. Her grandpa, George, had moved to an 'almost' off-grid house deep in the woods, after her grandmother died 2 years ago. White his wife was alive he was a joyfull person, always smiling. Karyn really had a great connection with him then. When she was young, he always played with her, and later on, as she grew up, he was always willing to lean an ear and listen to her problems. After cancer took her grandma, he had changed, though. Few months after that event he sold his apartment in the city nearby, and bought a home far away from a civilisation. He invested a little, and got running water and electricity from nearby creek and apparently tried to find solace in further renovating the house on his own. His seclusion was broken only by infrequent visits from his family. This spring break they had visited him too. It actually took a few hours of walking uphill to reach his house, after leaving the car in nearest parking lot. It was painful for Karyn to see her beloved grandpa overwhelmed by the sorrow after his wife, even 2 years after she had died. Karyn with her parents had stayed with her grandpa for 2 days, but then an argument had broken between him and Karyn's mother. She was trying to convince him to come live with them, but he was refusing time and time again. The only thing that Karyn mother was able to achieve was to get the promise from him, that he will take care of the sat-phone that they had brought as a present for him: be careful with it and keep the battery charged. At first this had worked, and they had spoken several times while Karyn's family continued their caravanning. It had seemed that her granddad was actually quite happy to receive the calls from them. This really made this current situation with the dead phone all the more disquieting.

"Anyway" - Karyn mother said - ", please go to your room. We will talk about your hair later. For now I will keep on trying to reach out to your grandpa.".

While Karyn had one more thing to worry about now, she was also a little relieved. Apparently her mother had not noticed the second change she had done to herself. She guessed it was not as noticeable as the hair, and in addition it was probably a little too unthinkable that your daughter had suddenly lost several cup sizes. Still, with time, people close to her will start to notice.

Now, Karyn was lying in her bed, trying to sort out her feelings. Her concerns about her situation, and how to explain herself to her mother. Her worries about her granddad. Her sadness and anger for her friend. To think that she was so happy after her second wish had worked as intended!

That thought had actually pointed her back to the stone. Jon had quite a distance to walk in "her" shoes (there was a little bit of satisfaction she felt while thinking about this), but he should be arriving to his home quite soon. He will probably go directly for the stone and get rid of the changes she made.

Suddenly, Karyn was hit by a horrific thought. What will Jon do next? Won't he be seeking revenge on her? After all, he was quite angry. Suddenly, she become terrified. There was this paralysing sense of dread the she is completely at his mercy, and is not able to do anything about this. What should she do? Call him and apologize? She had already taken the phone outside of her purse, but then stopped. What if he will become even angrier at her? Should she call the cops on him? And tell them what? Would they even be able to stop him? Maybe she should get the car and run, hoping to get outside of stone range...

At this point she was really staring to panic, when suddenly she had heard her mother calling her from the kitchen downstairs, breaking her line of thought. Karyn took a moment to collect herself, and went down. She had not noticed that her phone was left on her bed upstairs.
After few moments it started to vibrate. It was Jon calling her, not being able to access the safe with the only thing that could solve his predicament her wishes had caused...
