Absolutely. I love new branches and I can try and support it as best I can, if that's ok.
I think that there is enough of a reasonable excuse that the scientists don't understand Jon's language and have only been studying her for a short time that created that belief. And if you don't like that excuse, they haven't really studied Jon, after all: it's all the stone's doing, Jon has only been in the tank for ~1 minute and hasn't really been studied at all. The wishing stone is just a bit of an ass.
