I don't know. It seems odd that scientists would allow this kind of bias to hamper their research to such a degree. After all, these are the people that figured out that octopuses could open screw-top jars and that dung beetles navigate by the Milky Way.
Oh, and that goldfish actually have reasonably good memories.
Of course, to be fair, scientists of the not so distant past would have laughed at the idea that such things were possible. They're human, in the end.
All that aside, would it be too much of an inconvenience if I added a branch near the beginning? I think chompy and I were struck with inspiration at around the same time, but chompy is a lot faster. A whole lot faster.
