Isabelle smiled as she looked at herself in the mirror. Today was the day she was getting married to the man she loved. Peering through her glasses she saw in the reflection was her in a beautiful wedding dress. Her dark brown hair resting at her shoulders. Her skin was a nice tan, being a 28 year old Filipino woman.
She began to daydream about how this would be the last moment she would be a single woman. She loved Jim very much and was excited and thought this feeling was just the normal wedding jitters. Jim was a tall, white and in good shape. Any girl would be lucky to have him.
As she looked down for her phone to check the time she noticed a gift wrapped package on the vanity. Almost surprised, she picked it up and opened it. Inside was a stone but it was unlike any stone she had ever seen. It had a strange glow to it almost as if it gave off energy. Isabelle searched for a card or any sign to see who it was from but could find nothing. Wondering if it came from one of her soon to be husband’s family or her own.
There was a knock at the door, which startled her. Making one last glance in the mirror, Isabelle pulled up her dress around her chest, wishing her B’s were a bit bigger to fill out the dress more, and shrugged as she walked to the door.
“Who is it?” She asked
