Quickly, I brought them over to the tattoo parlor. Neither of them had their charge ports on their arms. Sunny's port was on the back of his right calf. Lucy had her charge port right under her left shoulder blade. If they were going to be mine, I wanted them to be special. PEP units did not get tattoos. They were initially a mass commodity. A concerted effort to separate the cyborgs from humans became standard when people started to become skeptical of their motives. As the antipathy for PEP units grew, the PEP units internalized it as well. Tattoos and other aesthetic body modifications were seen as too human. It was seen as a bridge too far by the transmission hub, the shrewd A.I. emissary of the alien race interested in the planet. The scramble to mass produce units before the factories were destroyed left no time for unique features like tattoos. I often saw the punks and scrappers with intricate tattoos all over their bodies. Their bodies were a canvass for art and modification. Giving them tattoos here would personalize them for me. It would also make it easier for them to blend in with humans.

Putting my desires on them like this obviously made them a bit nervous. They were about to engage in a taboo. However, it was their mission to get me to put all of my desires in them. I did not want anything major put on their bodies. It would be way too distracting. I wanted stars of varying sizes and spaces in between them covering the length of their arms. For Sunny, I wanted some 5-pointed stars. Lucy was going to get 4 pointed stars on her arms. They would be yellow with black outlines and black with yellow outlines. The tattoo artists were able to get it done in a few minutes. I paid them and we left together. I then took them to the clan building. They looked at the surroundings as we walked to the labs. "Are we going to breed here?" Sunny asked. I shook my head. "No. You need your X-frames. Take these blueprints and these resources to the Foundry." I told them as I handed them the blueprints for the XF-06Mx model. Alex and Alexis were probably going to be angry. They had earned it for helping with the syndicate boss. There was no way a PEP unit could resist an X-frame.

Even with another mission in progress, they took it. "We will breed as soon as we get back." Lucy said. "This is not something that can be put off forever." Sunny added. I just nodded at them. They would be gone for 2 weeks as they built their personal X-frame. Being a special variant, they would be able to do something pretty cool. When they returned, we could fuck and get them both pregnant. It would be a massive boon to the clan. First thing would be the getting the strong halfbreeds. Then we could try to have some PEA and AEP units. That would mean that the PEP units in the clan would need to interbreed with one another. There were now 6 cyborgs with semen replicators and 4 with the X-womb. Since Sunny and Lucy could have 2 kids at a time, that meant that 6 offspring can be made at the same time. I left the clan building with them and Sparks saw us. I introduced them to each other. Sparks frowned when he saw the tattoos. "Why do you have that modification!?" he asked. I said "I think a tattoo like this looks really nice on them." Sparks looked down and softly said "I disagree."

Being rejected like that made Sunny and Lucy frown. "Anyway, these 2 are joining the clan and will be driving the cabs when they come back from the Foundry." Sparks blinked as it sunk in. "Are they getting an X-frame!? I don't know if they're ready. Shouldn't we wait a bit?" he asked. I shook my head. "Sunny and Lucy have to go. They have another task to complete when they come back." I told him. They nodded and went to one of the cabs. Once they got in, they drove off. Spark dragged me off to the side and said "I don't think that we should have them in the clan." I asked him why. He said "When PEP units have tattoos, it usually means they have been taken over by reprogrammers. Modifications like those are a human thing to symbolize their power over us." Scrappers and reprogrammers were really active in the area. Lots of the low tier PEP units were scared of getting attacked and caught by them. "I'm human." I reminded him. "You're one of the good ones! You saved me." he said quickly. I said "It's not all that bad. You'd look good with a tattoo." "Stop! Don't say that" he snapped.
