The man in his dream told Jim that he had the power to manipulate people's minds, to attune them to his desires. Of course, he had a hard time believing him. If Jim had this "ability" wouldn't he have known about it? Unless ... this ability was new. Maybe the man in his dream gave it to him.
He shook his head, pulling his covers back and getting out of bed. It was just a silly dream. It was nothing to get worked up about. No one had that kind of power over people, anyway. He stood up and stretched, then left his room wearing only his boxer shorts, intending to head to the bathroom to relieve himself.
