"Whoa, Rick," said Jim. "We need to tread very lightly with this. We could do alot of damage with this book if we aren't careful."

"Well what are we supposeed to do? Wait till we go to college and get a degree in dead languages so we can translate it?" Rick crossed his arms and gave his friend the usual "why are you such a wet blanket look".

"No Rick," sighed Jim who walked over to his friends computer and clicked on Internet Explorer. "This is the age of information. If you want to find out about something just Google it."

Jim typed in Latin translator in the browser and hit the submit button. The search engine brought up numerous links that offered available translation programs. Jim clicked on the first link and it brought up a website where you simply typed in the latin phrase and hit a translate button to convert it in to plain english.

"See, it was just that easy," said Jim. He reached over to a pile of school notebooks that were sitting on Ricks desk and picked up one with the least amount of notes written in it. "Here, this can be our translated magic book. We'll write down the spells into here along with a description of what they do. That way we don't have to lug that big ole thing around when we want to cast spells outside of your room."

"Outstanding work, Jim," exclaimed Rick, "I'm glad that I told you about the book before I stumbled around reciting spells that were doing God-knows-what."

Rick picked up the massive book and hauled it over to the desk that Jim was sitting at. He dropped it in front of Jim who opened it up to the first page and scanned it for the first passage that he would translate.

"Now let's see what kind of goodies this book contains."

(Here is the actual website I found that can do this. I think it also features an English to Latin Translator in case later posters want to be authentic in the spells that they have Jim and Rick recite.)
