"Look Jamie, it was just an off-hand remark, y'know," reasoned Rick, "I'm pretty sure that he didn't mean anything by it."

"You don't understand," countered Jim. She put her hands on her hips and pouted at Rick over his lack of understanding. "I've known Tony almost all my life. I've helped him out when his parents divorced and even stuck my neck out for him when I helped him cheat on his Geometry test. But here he is talking
behind my back like I'm some kind of...of..."

"You're just being too sensitive, Jamie, lighten up some." Rick gently took his friend by her shoulder and tried to lead her towards the entrance to the dance. To him this whole conversation had gone on for far too long.

"No Rick," scolded Jim, shrugging her friend's hand off her shoulder. "I'm not some child waiting to be lead around. Can't you see that I'm a little emotional here? Don't you have any respect for my feelings?"

With that last comment Rick knew that something was definitely wrong. "Say Jim, not to change the subject, but could you possibly tell me who was frozen in carbonite in 'The Empire Strikes Back' and what your favorite video game is? Just humor me on this, ok."

"Rick you are changing the subject," said Jim impatiently, "You know that I can't keep track of all that Star Trek, sci-fi stuff that you like and the
only video games that I play are Peggle and Bejeweled on my cell phone. I guesss I like Bejeweled the best but what does that have to do with the
whole Tony situation? Nothing! You're just trying to dismiss
my feelings."

"Ok, ok, two more questions, then we can talk about Tony all night. What major event happened a little while ago and what is it like to have tits?"

Jim let out a feminine sigh as she dropped her head down in disbelief.
"Rick we just time travelled back to here and you turned me into a girl less than a minute ago, I'm pretty sure you should remember that. And for the
record, I don't have 'tits', Rick, I have breasts. I don't understand why
guys obsess over two globes of flesh so much. Like Tony, on top of talking behind my back he also has the nerve to look at my breasts like they've
got a pair of eyes on them instead of my face. Now if you'll excuse me
I'm going to the ladies room to freshen up. I'll meet you in the stadium
in a little while. I'll be expecting an apology." Jim huffed and
crossed her arms over her chest as she walked off.

Rick smirked as he watched his friend gracefully manuever around the congregating couples with no obvious difficulty from her high heels. "It figures. I have it turned up too high."

You see, the last thing Rick wanted when he changed Jim into a girl was the inevitable argument and outrage from him over being his female date for the night as well as waiting for his friend to aclimatize to being a girl. Rick didn't want to deal with a girl that scratched herself in public, couldn't walk in high heels, and would flinch every time he tried to lay a kiss on her. So when he cast the transformation spell on Jim he also included a "feminine perspective" spell as well. The spell didn't totally alter his friends memories into thinking that he was always a teenaged, blonde bombshell,it just made him think and see the world the same way that a real teenage girl would.

"Jamie" doesn't have any memories of when she first learned to apply make-up, deal with her first period, or color coordinate her clothes but she would have the know-how to do all of those things as if they were regular routines for her, as well as make her more inclined to enjoy "girl stuff" like gossiping, shopping, and, above all else, getting the affection of cute guys. That's why Jim never said one word in protest after being changed, for her being female was perfectly natural, like wearing a well worn pair of shoes that you
were comfortable with.

Unfortunately for Rick, the spell seemed to be a little too strong, making his best friend (and date for the night) into an emotionally fragile, drama queen. Spending the night with that was not Rick's idea of a good time.

"I need to refine the spell a little," thought Rick, "But how..."
