After he had reassured Rebecca that things were ok, even if he didn't know why, and headed home, Jim went back to his normal Sunday routine. He took care of a few more chores his mom came up with, and took care of his homework.
That evening, he finally got a call from Rick, who greeted him, "Hey man, I'm really sorry about what I did this morning, and for leaving you in the lurch last night. I guess you feel better now, back in your original body."
I guess he thinks he just undid it, thought Jim. Out loud, he said, "Thanks, that does help a lot."
"Don't worry, I'll make it up to you for all the chaos. In the meanwhile, though, do you have any idea who's dating Rebecca? She seems to've started going out with someone recently, but won't even admit to it."
"I am not my brother's sister's keeper," Jim answered.
"Well, if you find out anything, let me know. So I know whose head to break. In the meantime, I'll keep watching, too."
"Geeze, man, you can't just beat up everyone who might want to date her," Jim tried to remind him.
"Maybe not, but if I break enough heads, nobody else will want to. Mission Accomplished."
Jim sighed, "We can worry about that later, I guess. Can you do one thing for me, though? I want to surprise Beth tomorrow during school; can you change me between fourth and fifth period?"
"What? You want me to change you during school? And change you back, when?"
"After fifth period, I guess."
"Oooh... getting it on during class. Right-o. I want all the details afterwards."
Jim sighed again. "We'll see," he finally admitted.
They talked for a while longer, then said good night.
