It seemed enough for him. He began to read the letter and his eyebrows furrowed. "It says we're supposed to travel together." he said. I took the letter from him and read it over myself. "If you are reading this, it means that my go between was good at his job. I am eager to leave this broken fort and explore like you said years ago. My go between will take you here safely and then we can leave." it read. "Well, I have to get some health potions. All this traveling is a pain in the neck!" I said. He nodded and said "I'll be here waiting for you." I went to an alley and transformed into my half orc. I doubted a full centaur could fit in a normal shop. I had some good money from the quests and mobs that I killed. I used it to buy some potions. One was drunk immediately to get me back to full health. As I was walking back to the guy, I saw Benson. He was with a lady. "Hey! Benny!" I called out to him as I waved to him. They both looked shocked until recognition hit and Benson had a look of horror on his face. I walked up to them and said "So, what are you guys up to!? I want to join in." They backed up.

My appearing in front of them was terrifying them. Especially Benson. That was probably due to his guilty conscious. "Looks like I wasn't enough for you then. First you go chasing and groping me in the back alley, and now this lady." I said, pointing at her. She looked at him and snarled "You're and orckie lover!? Gross! Don't call for me again." She then stomped off. "Wait a minute! Stop! It's not what you think!" he called after her, but it was no use. As his night was ruined, I just smirked at him. "Now we're even. See you around, Benny." I said, patting his shoulder before walking off. Benson was not going to take it laying down. He followed after me and said "Where the hell do you think you're going!?" I rolled my eyes. "I have important business. Unless you want to tag along, you have to leave." I said. He shook his head. "I'm not leaving, bastard! You owe me a date." he snapped. That was not going to happen. I continued until I got back to the recipient of the letter. "I'm back. Let's go to the fort." I said. He blinked and said "I... guess. Weren't you a... centaur? I'm sorry. Silly question."

Now that the 3 of us were going, I decided to take my time when we were out in the open road. I wanted to grind some mobs for a bit. They did not have much to defend themselves with. The one who the letter was for had a tiny dagger. His name was Liam. Benson just punched and kicked anything that got too close. I used the glaive to slice and dice the slimes and goblins. When the Goblin Champion appeared, I took him on 1 on 1. That got me to level 5. I was pleased with that. We hurried down the road and there was a random bandit toll. I just glared at them and activated my Intimidating Aura. "You don't want to mess with us, pal." I said. I got one of them to back down. The other 2 went hostile immediately. We had to kill all of them before we could move on. I told them to loot the armor and weapons from the dead bandits. I took the armor. I was just in a shirt and pants until now. They were wearing leather armor. Benson and Liam got a shield and shortsword each. I doubted that they would get much use from them, but at least they could block attacks. We moved on along the road.
