"Who's Deshan?" Tina asked Nadine.
"What do you mean? He's our pimp." She knew that Tina was part of her old life, but it was starting to feel like her new life was the real one, so when Tina didn't know something like that, Nadine thought it was weird.
"I don't have a pimp," Tina insisted, as an image of Deshan came into her mind. Vicious when angry, but when in a good mood, such as when he made money...he could much more pleasant.
"And where else are you going to get the kind of money he gives you, even with his cut? And are you going to pay the fine? Nadine charged.
"You are the one who told them we were guilty..."
"Because we were...what would lying do?" Nadine insisted. "This way, we get out of here faster."
"Nadine, are you listening to yourself? You aren't this person..."
"What person?" Nadine insisted. "This...maybe the life you remember is the person I'm not."
"You WANT to be a hooker?" Tina asked.
