They were almost in cutting distance when suddenly Melissa got hit in the head with a book. Then Jon got hit too. They both fell to the floor, passed out. Karyn looked down the hall and saw Allison.
"You came back for me," Karyn said.
"Of course, I came back for you. Did you really think I was gonna leave you here?"
Actually, yeah, Karyn thought.
Allison walked over to her and helped her to her feet. "Come on. Let's get out of here."
"I couldn't agree more," Karyn replied.
Steve wasn't crying anymore, now he was just sobbing. He saw Allison and Karyn getting away and tried to grab them, but Allison slugged him in the face, which sent him into another crying fit.
"Nice," Karyn complimented.
"Thanks. Let's go."
And they left, leaving the crying Steve and the passed-out Jon and Melissa.
