And a few minutes after that, the stone was picked up by Sydney again.
Sydney was just a dog. There's no chance that she knew it was a wishing stone...but even dogs have wishes they can express.
Sydney's wish was that she could lay in Jon's soft bed whenever she wished. Jon would often kick her out of the bed and send her to a less comfortable pillow on the floor.
Sydney wasn't capable of higher thought. But her wish was granted just the same...
