"Well, well, well," a voice from behind Leonard said. "If it isn't the queen of the nerds." Leonard turned around and saw Melissa, Meagan, and Ashley, three girls from the cheerleader squad. Melissa was Sarah's best friend, so to see her mock Sarah was proof enough for Leonard that his wish didn't just affect Sarah, but all of reality! In this new reality that he had created, Sarah McMillan had always been a nerd, as hard as that was to believe. And what, was Melissa now the head cheerleader?
After the three girls walked over to Sarah's table, Meagan pushed the stack of books over and laughed. "You nerds are so stupid, studying all the time. Why don't you do anything fun?"
Sarah looked up at her, annoyed. "This is fun."
That got them laughing again.
"Stop it," Leonard said, stepping closer.
"And what if we don't? Are you going to sit on us?" Ashley said, before falling into a laughing fit again. Leonard was a big guy, but most of that came from fat and not muscle. It was something that was joked about frequently. He displayed a hurt expression, then moved away into one of the book shelf aisles. "Yeah, that's right! Get out of here, you loser!" Melissa said, then more laughter.
But Leonard wasn't leaving. He was using this opportunity to "improve" on those cheerleader bitches. "I wish ..."
