Jon lowered his hand. "You're forgetting one thing, Karyn. If we don't hear the wish, then we'll think everything is normal just like everyone else." He pushed himself off the wall and raised his hands in the air. "For all we know, this whole reality is different."
Just then, someone bumped into Jon. "Hey, watch where you're standing!" the person yelled out. Then suddenly, there was a bright flash of yellow light.
Jon felt dizzy, and reached out a hand against the wall to steady himself. He blinked. Then he grabbed the boy in front of him in a muscular arm. "Next time, watch where I'm going," he said, pushing the smaller teen into the wall.
He looked at the girl the klutz had been with. She was kind of cute...she sort of looked like Sarah McMillan, only with no fashion sense, but she was giving him a look of hatred. Her loss.
"Come on, " the blonde girl said. The dweeb and the cute blonde headed down the hall. How did he get such a girl.
Jon straightened his varsity jacket, turned and continued the other way. Something seemed wrong, but he couldn't put his finger on it.
